SunWater Institute, Green Innovation Center

SunWater Institute is a Think-Tank space at the Green Innovation Center in North Bethesda, Maryland. The design leverages the idea of thinking outside the box, as embodied through materials, relationships, and details. The key design concept explores the interaction of two space-angled Wood and Metal boxes at the entrance of SunWater Institute.

Tall windows flood the space with daylight. The bold exposed steel structure, industrial design, and interior building see-through glazing create a dreamy multi-layered ambient that stimulates coworking and collaboration. Artistic open boxes "contain" scientific solutions, and the brainstorming that happens here helps "brew" innovations and discoveries.
