Albanians race against time

Devastating times for Albania. As people slept in their beds during the early hours of Tuesday 11/26/19, a magnitude-6.4 tremor struck 34km (21 miles) north-west of the capital city, Tirana,
So far, the strong earthquake has claimed 26 lives and has injured more than 650 people. Most of the deaths occurred in the coastal city of Durres and the town of Thumane, close to the epicenter. The rescue efforts intensify as Albanians race against time in hopes of saving precious lives. Help has poured in from many countries but much more is needed.
The earthquake tremors have been continuing for days adding insult to injury on affected Albanian grounds and surrounding region.
