PB & Jack (Pirates, Ballerinas & Jack of All Trades)

PB & Jack in Fairfax City, Virginia is an indoor play place for children ages 0-6 that offers both physical and mental stimulation in a fun and safe environment. It was up to ALine Architecture to come up with a playful and visually inspiring design for PB & Jack and, in the process, assisted the owner with test fits and space planning options, conceptual designs, building permits, bidding, construction documents, and construction administration of the project.

 

ALine Architecture tapped into their inner child and used their creativity and imagination to create a design that identified with the PB & Jack mission and corporate branding. The design was full of playful systems and fun materials, such as the 3-Form wave wall, Marmoleum flooring with free forms, Lego surfaces, and a sea life-themed playground carpet.  In addition, ALine Architecture designed and coordinated the graphic art installations as well as the interior & exterior sign systems.
